Arondizuogu Patriotic Union of North America (APUNCNA) is the umbrella organization of all Arondizuogu people and Arondizuogu Patriotic Unions in the United States. The aims of APUNCNA are multifaceted and include the following:
1. To foster the social, cultural and economic development of Arondizuogu community both in the Diaspora and at home. 2. To further the development, enrichment and enhancement of our ancient "Aro" culture. 3. To introduce our rich culture to the world. 4. To foster mutual relationships amongst our people. 5. To invest in the future of our children in the Diaspora and to expose them to their rich heritage. 6. To organize annual conventions in the United States and periodically at our homeland. 7. To continue to encourage mutual help and interdependence amongst the Aro communities around the world. 8. To serve as an effective medium for knowledge sharing. 9. To operate in its capacity as a nonprofit organization by engaging in charitable work that will benefit members of our community, organizations, and the general society. 10. To instill good citizenry to our members and help members to adapt in the American society.
APUNCNA currently consists of 8 APU branches in the United States namely APU-Atlanta, APU-Dallas, APU-Michigan (Detroit), APU-Houston, APU NY, NJ, and CT, and APU-Maryland, APU Florida, APU California and Virginia. APUNCNA is also a registered member of APU General Assembly. |
